LATAVIA YOUNG
FILMMAKER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Framing the stories that shape who we are.
Everything Latavia creates is coated in sentimentality.
Born in Miami and raised in the UK, Latavia Young is a multidisciplinary Creative Director and Filmmaker operating at the nexus of brand storytelling, cultural production, and tech-enabled innovation. Her practice is anchored in a singular mission: framing the stories that shape who we are.
As the founder of YEYA, Latavia singularly builds distinct visual worlds and strategic campaigns for brands, artists, and digital ventures. Her career is forged at the intersection of commercial execution and independent cinema; spanning creative development and production pedigree at NBCUniversal, RadicalMedia, AT WILL MEDIA, and Jax Media to a celebrated directorial and producing slate that includes the Sundance-premiered 16mm short Grace, the museum-exhibited My Fierce Aunt Bianca (MoMA, Inside Out), creative direction for HAILES at FIFA World Cup Fan Festival Kansas City, creative direction for HAILES x Ultimate Ears (Logitech), the Reel Black Film Festival in partnership with Janelle Monáe’s Fem the Future, and the 16mm short Peeling starring Krys Marshall.
Whether partnering with internal enterprise teams, global tech, product, and sports brands, major talent, or cross-functional creatives, Latavia translates complex narratives into clear, high-performing visual ecosystems proving that niche cultural resonance and commercial scale belong in the same room.
